Photos from Don’t Look Back! a rock ‘n roll Orpheus, performed April 18-19, 2008 at the Whitney Theater as part of the 2007-2008 World Performance Project season.

Project O revives American popular music and dance forms from the 1950s and 60s to create and perform a multi-media rock ‘n roll version of the doomed love of Orpheus for Eurydice. Project O is the final project of THST 319b: Project O, co-taught by Joseph Roach, Emily Coates, Bronwen MacArthur, and Joseph Cermatori. Project O is produced in conjunction with a production of Monteverdi’s Orfeo, directed by Richard Lalli, sponsored by the Yale Baroque Opera Project. All photos by Jennifer W. Lester.
