Each year, Theater Studies offers majors the chance to engage in practical work on a show of their choice, as part of the research for their senior essay. Students may write, direct, or design a play or perform a principal role in a production.
The senior essay and senior project act as a culmination of students’ course work in Theater Studies. Seniors draw on their experiences in production seminars, extracurricular performance, and courses in dramatic literature and theater history to craft bold and collaborative works of theater. The senior project program allows students to explore their specific areas of academic interest in a deeper way and to share the results with the Yale and New Haven communities in fully staged productions.
All performances will take place at the Whitney Humanities Center Theater (53 Wall Street), unless otherwise noted.
